VOSCOM HDMI Fiber Optic Extenders can offer long-distance transport of HDMI 1.3a up to 20km with single mode fiber. Featuring HDMI video resolutions up to WUXGA 1920x1200 and HDTV video resolutions up to 1080p. The HDMI Fiber Optic Extender also transports digital audio along with the HDMI. The HDMI Fiber Optic Extenders consists of an all fiber connection eliminating the need for any copper connections between the transmitting and receiving devices. The HDMI Fiber Optic Extenders are designed to not only transport the HD video and audio, but also supports the transmission of the Display Data Channel (DDC) and High Definition Copy Protection (HDCP) over the same optical fiber.
VOSCOM HDMI Fiber Optic Transmission Systems make it possible to extend HDMI with the highest quality video performance well beyond the limitations of copper. 1080p:
1080p is the shorthand identification for a set of HDTV video modes that are characterized by 1,080 lines of vertical resolution (1,080 horizontal scan lines) and progressive scan (meaning the image is not interlaced, unlike the 1080i display standard).
